During the last few months, the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management has been working on a new website to gather information on the development of the IUCN Red List of Ecosystems. The goal of this website is to allow public participation on the development, implementation and monitoring of a global standard to assess the risk of collapse of ecosystems, which can be applied at local, regional and global levels.

This website has information on the developers, projects and institutions involved on the IUCN Red List of Ecosystems, as well as relevant scientific information and case studies where the criteria and categories have already been applied, information on ongoing initiatives and relevant future events. The website also offers the possibility for new researchers to get involved on the development of IUCN Red List of Ecosystems by submitting their own case study or getting in contact with the developers.

The IUCN Red List of Ecosystems website will be officially released during the IUCN World Conservation Congress to be held in Jeju, Korea on September 6th to 9th.
